“One can easily forgive a child who’s afraid of the dark. The real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.”
I am totally loving this series, The Club was a huge introduction to this couple and The Reclamation just manages to embed them into your heart even more. You can feel their connection radiating off the pages and you cannot help but will for this couple to succeed. Both have their issues, but both are adamant that if they ever have a chance of finding love then this is it for them, it is just the small matter of the circumstances in which they met that threaten to throw a spanner in the works.
Jonas…Jonas…Jonas…I love this dude, there is nothing like watching a man who thought he never had the propensity to love to fall head over heels and I mean, he is all in, totally, completely, undeniably and he is giving it his all. Yes, he makes a few blunders along the way, but this is all new to him, it is a learning curve but there is no denying his commitment to get it right. You can see the man morphing before your very eyes, and while he knows it is happening, he cannot stop it, he doesn’t want it to stop and he embraces it, making him all the more endearing.
“But I promise you one thing, my sweet Jonas - whatever I come up with, it’s gonna bring you to your frickin knees.”
Sarah…Sarah…Sarah, her biggest hurdle in this book is learning to take and accept, having forever struggled in life she finds it hard to deal with Jonas’s generosity and this can cause the funniest of arguments. Sarah needs to remember that being the one and only forever member of the Jonas Faraday club has exclusive membership benefits and she just needs to accept it all. Jonas Faraday is the gift that keeps on giving, his heart is in the right place and he wants to do everything he can for her, but sometimes Sarah gets a bit overwhelmed and feels that she is losing herself along the way.
“Good actions give strength to ourselves and inspire good actions in others.”
With the investigations into “The Club” well under way, these two are forever on tenterhooks, in case anything should happen, but you know that the people behind The Club are not going to let them skulk into the background and throughout this book you are left wondering what is going to happen. You know it is going to but you just cannot see it coming.
“Better a little that is well done, than a great deal imperfectly.”
This instalment was a fun read as well as cementing the relationship between Jonas and Sarah. You can see them building their foundations and you know that they are going to be an incredibly strong couple eventually. Although this relationship is in it’s infancy, sometimes you just know that this is it for life, and this is the way I feel about these two. They are perfect for each other, they balance each other out and keep each other centred, but they will always have that fire between them to keep their relationship fresh and entertaining.
Overall this was a fab read, the ending is…the ending and while I cannot give anything away you will be left wanting more and QUICKLY! Thank god we only have a couple of weeks to wait! This book was well balanced with the fun and humour, the angst and the suspense and of course the emotion. The more I read, the more I want and as much as I do not want this series to be over, I need to know what happens to these two. If ever you want a relationship to work, it is these two, they deserve each other and they deserve happiness, trouble is, will the world let them?
“I love Sarah Cruz.”
