This book had me laughing so much that I needed tissues to sop up the tears.
This is a romantic story but also has a sexy edge to it which makes it a very enjoyable read; also you have the everyday life of the unit that is in the story which adds a bit of excitement.
This story is about Gavriel, a vampire, a unit warrior stationed in Lacaonia and Elizabeth or Beth as she is mostly known as, a rabbit shifter, who is Gavriel’s fated mate.
Poor Beth is one very accident prone lady, and Gavriel has seen all her calamities that happen to her in his dreams, night after night, leaving him wondering what sort of mate she was going to be even though he already knew he loved her even though he had not met her yet, but soon he hoped.
Beth found herself on her way to Lycaonia, something had drawn her here to start a new beginning in her life, and of course things starting to go wrong for Beth. Beth finds herself with not one but two flat tyres stuck in the middle of nowhere, her GPS telling her she was in the right place but looking around she could see nothing remotely looking like civilisation, but someone did find her, one of the unit warriors and took pity on her and got her safely to the units estate house.
Beth’s grand entrance to the house was true to Beth’s way, she promptly tripped on the mat just inside and landed face first on the floor making her nose bleed and that was how she first met Gavriel, hearing his voice she looked up to the top of the stairs and saw the most gorgeous male ever.
At last thought Gavriel she has come, she is here in front of me, my fated mate. Taking her in his arms, peace went through him, his...
“zain'ka moya”
Beth and Gavriel slowly start to get to know each other. Already with the pull of the mating strong between them, the mating began...
"You're mine! I'm never letting you go!" He rose up over her and struck quickly, sinking his fangs deep into her neck. Her body reacted instantly throwing her into her whirlpool of pleasure.”
Their growing attraction was all consuming, neither one wanted to be without each other even though it sometimes put Beth in some danger, but Beth knew her mate would never harm her and as Gavriel said to Beth...
"Whatever I have, whatever I am, is yours already, zain'ka moya.”
This story is so enjoyable, not only do you have Beth and Gavriel’s romance but you have Meryn, the unit commanders mate livening things up, supplying the laughs along the way, especially when she sends him to the local store to buy something ...he has not a clue what he is buying, it’s hilarious.
Also you have the unit’s enemy showing themselves which livens things up.
A really good read. Well done Ms Alder, loved it.
