This is one book I can highly recommend. It has it all, it’s sexy, erotic, and with a superb story that flows keeping your attention all the way through until you reach the end. With burgeoning feelings abounding. A past that had been hell to come to terms with, to a future that is all anyone could ever dreamed off, and an evil, so profound, depraved and psychotic that makes your skin crawl. This book has it all.
This book is about a woman called Kate who, all her life has been burdened with horrific dreams. Things, which she has just realised, were actually coming true, and her most recent dream had her feeling so horrified that she knew she had to do something about it. She decided to go the local precinct and there she met Detective Mike Thatcher, and when she told him her story he asked her would she mind waiting until a couple of 'investigative specialists' came to talk to her about what she had told him. Kate was getting annoyed as she needed to get back to college as she had a class to teach but he managed to get her to agree to wait. Kate was getting antsy as this was the first time in a very long time that she had actually told anyone about her dreams as in the past she never got a good reception after telling anyone about them, and that was when Kate's life changed forever.
Two very handsome men walked into the interview room that Kate was in, and one in particular seems to draw her attention. Kate tries to dismiss it as she has sworn off men due to the fact her relationship with her fiancé of two years ended dramatically after finding him cheating on her, but boy this man in front of her was something else...
“Tall. Dark. Handsome. No, devastatingly sensuous. Mind blowing sexy. He smelled like spices, mint, and sex god. It felt like they were the only two there.”
He introduced himself as Devon Fallinsworth, who unbeknown to Kate was actually a vampire Lord, the Lord of the Midwest in fact. Dev could not believe it, for when he walked into the room and saw Kate he froze...
“”Jesus. H. Christ.” She was the One. The woman he'd been looking for. His Moira.”
She was... Breath-taking.
And so their intense, erotic journey begins. With Dev taking the relationship slowly, but with very hot sexy kisses along the way and finally a coming together that was so erotic it blistered.
“Christ, you feel so good. So tight. So hot. Like home. The fierce desire to take her body and blood was overpowering.”
It was the best sex ever for Kate, and it also felt so very right.
With women disappearing, Dev and Kate were doing their level best to find them and bring them home, because Dev was sure his arch enemy Xavier was behind it. This vampire was pure evil and had to be stopped, permanently.
I loved this book. I could not put it down until I got to the end. The characters were charismatic and the story line was brilliant. A really great book Ms Kreig. I will certainly be following this series with great interest.
“His Destiny.”
