Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ Saving Her Angel (Archangel #3) by Missy Jane

Book Description:

Eleanor has loved her boss Cam from afar for years, but now he wants to retire and send her away. Tearing her heart out would have been kinder.

Archangel Camael must never fall for a woman. If he does, he’ll lose his angelic powers, and he will age like a human. Protecting humans from evil is paramount and has meant periodically reinventing his identity to avoid rousing suspicion. But as his desire grows for his secretary, Eleanor, duty feels more like a burden, because he can’t imagine starting a new life without her.

He can never fall in love.

A force of evil is wreaking havoc and Cam and his Archangel brothers scramble to determine and thwart the cause. The key lies in Eleanor’s tormenting memories, but if they push her too hard, she might snap. Cam must walk the delicate line between protecting Eleanor, appeasing his brothers, and saving the world.

This is a story of true love and has sensual love scenes which will give the reader a feel good tingle.

This story is about Eleanor and Cam. Eleanor has worked for Cam for the past four years and during that time she has come to love her boss, Dr Cam Maxwell, a marriage counsellor. Cam has told her that she won’t be working there anymore as he is retiring which has broken her heart.

Cam, who in fact is the Archangel Camael has had to retire before anyone notices that he is not ageing. This is something all Archangels have to do every ten to twelve years so no one gets suspicious. Although he has noticed his pretty assistant, Eleanor, he knows that nothing could come of the attraction he feels for her.

On the last day of his job as Dr Maxwell, Cam could feel the hurt that Eleanor was feeling in saying goodbye and it upset him just as much. The Archangels did their best not to get attached to the human companions they come in contact with in their day to day lives but Cam knew that Eleanor was a really good person and he was hoping that somehow he could hire her again when he decides on what persona he would do next.

Then it all changed when he first received a phone call from his brother, Rafe telling him of a dream he had had of evil coming. Then the next instant the floor beneath his feet starts moving and looking outside his window he sees a rift has appeared in the main road and a scream reaches his ears…Eleanor.

Evil has come to Huntsville, Texas. Demons are trying to get to the surface into the human world. Rushing towards Eleanor’s screams it was then that it hit Cam just how much Eleanor had come to mean to him. Totally blindsiding him.

The story continues with the attraction between Cam and Eleanor growing but it was never going to be easy for these two. Outside influences were going to do their best to take Eleanor away which tears Cam apart. Having to choose between his attraction for Eleanor and being an Archangel with his brothers.

The evil that has hit Huntsville has spread worldwide so all Archangels that are on Earth have a real fight on their hands, but closer to home Cam, Michael, Selaphiel, Uriel and their fallen brothers Raphiel and Zerachiel have a battle to win in their own town and it appears that Eleanor is key to what is happening around them.

This is a brilliant story of how all the brothers come together to do battle against the demons that surround them and the attraction which is growing between Eleanor and Camael. With Cam realizing just how much Eleanor means to him and his need to be much closer to her. The feelings these two share for each other couldn't be denied no more. Just one touch was all it took and passion flared hot.

“Her muscles pulsed around him, shock waves still flowing through her from the climax. He slipped his palms beneath her and gripped her shoulders before pushing in to the hilt. She moaned and wrapped her legs around him, determined to hold on to him this time. He pulled back as much as her grip allowed and thrust again.”

Absolute peace went through Cam and he thought Eleanor in his arms was pure bliss.

There is so much going on in this book. It will keep the reader entranced. This third book in this amazing series is a really good read and will keep you turning the pages to find out how it will all end. Who will Camael choose? His brothers or Eleanor.
