Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ Blaze (The Protectors #10) by Teresa Gabelman

Book Description:

Haunted by a past he’s struggling to forget, Blaze once again finds himself a VC Warrior—something he swore would never happen. Confident he could easily walk away again, his connection to a certain redhead makes that decision harder than he imagined.

Trying to fit into the Warrior world, Katrina holds a secret that could ruin the new life she is fighting to fit into. And having feelings for a certain Warrior does not make things any easier.

As Blaze’s past catches up to him and Katrina’s secret is exposed, they discover a deep bond that neither can fight. It soon becomes clear that a past can be put to rest, but secrets can be deadly.

I have been looking forward to this book about Blaze, he was one very complicated male with a past that haunts him and is one very bad ass warrior. It would certainly need an extra special female to be his counterpart in life and be able to walk confidently by his side.

Katrina is a half blood and can be that woman. Blaze has always looked out for her but in this story the attraction between these two goes to the next level and what a very sexy level that is. The reason why it has taken these two so long to admit their feelings… is their pasts and in this book, all is revealed.

Danger is all around the V C Warriors. Katrina is being threatened by someone from her past but there was no way the Warriors would let anyone or anything happen to one of their own, especially Blaze. Now it had got personal and because of the danger all the barriers these two have erected around themselves have dropped and have brought them much closer.

“With his hand still buried in her hair, he gently tugged her head back, their lips so close her breath caressed him, and took what now belonged to him. No man would ever know the feel of her hair, the feel of her lips, or witness the beauty of her pale body. Fuck his good intentions of staying away from her. She was his. Mind, body, and soul. He claimed her as his own.”

There is betrayal by people the V C thought they could count on. The action in this book is fast and furious with Blaze in the fore front doing what Blaze does best. And a new Katrina coming to the fore, showing everyone exactly what is within her and the loyalty she holds for the V C Warriors and the love for Blaze which brings out the strength inside she never thought she had.

Brilliant book. This series never disappoints. A well-earned five stars Ms Gabelman. A real page turner and one you cannot put down. I loved it.
