Friday Frights ~ PNR Review ~ Cauldrons & Confessions (Warlocks Macgregor #4) by Michelle M Pillow

Book Description:

A Warlocks MacGregor Novel
Contemporary Scottish Paranormal Romance

Malina MacGregor is more than just a delicate flower in need of manly protection, but you wouldn’t know it by the slew of male family members who show up anytime she tries to go on a date. Sure, she’s made some poor choices in men in the past—like the demon she mistakenly hooked up with in Las Vegas years ago. But that was then, and this is now, and she more than made up for that mistake.

Darragh “Dar” Lahey may be a luck demon, but his luck ran out the night he met the temptress—Malina. Now he’s back, and he has an axe to grind. Malina needs to pay for what she did to him, and the supernatural attacks he’s firing at her magickal family is just the beginning. There is only one hitch in his plans for revenge—even after all this time the stubborn woman can still make his heart ache, and his body burn with need.

This series has been highly entertaining and this book is no exception. With fighting, arguments galore, spells a flying and some beautiful lovemaking which all made this book one great read.

Cauldrons and Confessions is about something going terrible wrong for the only daughter, Malina, in the MacGregor family of warlocks. Malina, because of the witch trials that had happened centuries ago had been sent away to England as a babe to escape them. It had been a very brutal time in Scottish history. It was affecting her family so they sent her to people in the south to be brought up.

Malina had come back to her family eventually with an English accent and not knowing all of her powers. Her family was very protective of her and in this story, it is the protectiveness that had brought about a tragic story of revenge but also love.

Darragh "Dar" Lahey was a Luck Demon. He had met Malina in Las Vegas back in 1960. It was love at first sight but things went terribly wrong and now he was back to seek revenge on Malina. The only thing is he still had strong feelings for Malina which wasn't helping him exact the revenge he had been planning for decades.

Malina could feel something was wrong but couldn't put her finger on it but whatever it was, it was affecting her badly and her mind kept going foggy and a sentence kept running through her head.

"Confess that you know in this very moment you're in love with me."

The MacGregor family in their indomitable way that they do, goes out to fight against whatever is attacking them. With some hilarious results by some. The main story is about Malina and Dar and a love that has travelled through time as strong as ever. It also has thrown up a main surprise for the MacGregor family especially Malina.

This is a very entertaining book. The MacGregor family are never dull and their antics will keep you turning the pages until the very end. I love this series and all the characters you have created Ms Pillow and I for one will be looking forward to reading more of this fierce but oh so entertaining and hilarious family. Brilliant.
