Book Description:
A fun, sexy new stand-alone from New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig.
He's sexy and confident, the kind of man every woman notices. You know, the one with the to-die-for body and panty-melting smirk. And then there's the way his designer suits drape over his broad shoulders and big...well, we've all heard the rumors, the ones that say he's up for any challenge.
But I can't see him that way. He's my boss—technically one of the owners of the company where I work—and definitely not in my league. Men like him don't notice women like me, and they don't date them.
And I don't date men like him.
Until that one time that I catch him in a compromising position when I'm also in need of a last-minute date for a wedding...and then it's not real. It's blackmail.
For one weekend, he's my plus-one.
Beautiful and unobtainable.
From the moment she walked into my office with those stunning blue eyes and crazy sensual curves, she's been on my mind. Three years and never once has she acted interested in me. Usually I flash a million-dollar smile and women fall to their knees, some literally.
Not her.
Then on the occasion that I agree to let another woman do that—fall to her knees—guess who happens to catch us?
It may not be the most conventional way to get on her radar, but I didn't get this far in business without knowing when to seize an opportunity. If this sexy little firecracker with perfectly kissable lips thinks she can blackmail me into attending her cousin's wedding, I'm going to jump at the chance to be her plus-one.
You love her darker side. Now it's time to meet Leatha, the lighter side of Aleatha, as she trades her renowned twists and turns for laughs and love with this sexy new stand-alone romance, PLUS ONE.

“Sometimes… the easy way doesn’t
have the same destination.”
So, it is not secret that I absolutely love this author, her
dark side holds no bounds and she has managed to captivate me with every single
dark, suspenseful, intriguing word she has ever written. So, what happens when
Aleatha becomes Leatha, the lighter side? This is Aleatha Romig’s first foray
into romantic comedy and I have to say, she nailed it. I laughed, I swooned,
but most importantly I loved. Loved the characters, loved the plot and of
course, loved the writing.
Kimbra has worked for the same company for the past three
years, she is extremely dedicated to her job as a HR manager and takes her work
seriously. Kimbra is extremely professional, a little reserved but was a
fantastic heroine. When she finds her boss in an extremely compromising
position she jumps on the opportunity of being able to fill her Plus One for
her cousins wedding. Taken aback she was even able to blackmail him the first
place she soon begins to question her sanity.
“Each experience with you is
another flower in our bouquet.”
Duncan has been fascinated with Kimbra ever since she first
walked into his office three years before. He has always known she was
different from the usual one night stands he often partakes in and has managed
to hold himself back from making a move. Deep down, Duncan knew she would be a
game changer if he ever got the chance, and when that chance comes on a silver
platter he jumps at the opportunity.
“I waited for you to throw
yourself at me. That’s the way my gamebook works. I’m a receiver, not the
quarterback.”
Aleatha Romig regales us with a hilarious family that
seriously has no filter, from grandma to parents, to the weather and sex, no
subject is off limits and everything will be discussed whether you want it to
be or not. I laughed out loud so many times and swooned even harder as the two
most unlikeliest of people finally find their soul mate.
“I want to try until either of us
can’t.”
Aleatha Romig has certainly proven that she can switch
genres and I adored this lighter side of her writing. The comedic timing and
character connection was on point, the laughs plentiful and the love for these
two characters was in abundance. This was a cute read, perfect for after those
heavy reads or whenever you need a pick me up.
