Book Description:

No one said finding love was easy, but when you invented the world’s best selling vibrator, it’s near impossible. Yep, that’s right. That little toy hidden in your bedside table is my brain child. It’s aptly named Woman on Top. And you know what they say . . . it’s lonely at the top.

So I’m headed home to my Southern roots. It’s supposed to be an extended Summer vacation — nothing more. But Rorke Weston has other plans for me. Plans that not only involve me being on top, but also underneath him.

It’s been said you never forget your first. For me, that’s definitely true. No night has ever lived up to the one I spent with Rorke.

He’s turned into quite a man. Tan from the Southern sun, and stubborn as the day is long. And there’s nothing sweeter than the swipe of his tongue.

Rorke wants his chance. The one we never had. But that was a long time ago. When I still believed in Prince Charming and Happily Ever Afters. Even ten years later, I feel a pull. And it’s not simply Rorke yanking down my panties.

Do second chances really happen? Or is my heart simply toying with me?

“I think I was made to love you.”

Prescott Lane delivers a hilarious and extremely cute read with Toying with Her. This book contained one of the most hilarious lines I have ever read, I had tears rolling down my face and got a stitch. I loved the Southern sayings, I loved Momma with a passion and I fell in love with our hero and heroine. The South’s small towns are well known for being stuck in the dark ages, where the bible is the be all and end all, small minds are rife and pack mentality is ever present and our heroine’s home town was no different.

“Sterling…You deal with clits, not c*nts. Let’s go.”

On the outside Sterling had everything, she had her own business, she was a multi-millionaire, she had fame, a life that most would be enviable of, but at the end of the day her material wealth meant nothing. Sterling was incredibly lonely, she invented the most famous dildo, men either wanted her money or were emasculated by it, some were intimidated by what she invented and the fact that they could never compare. No matter what, she had no success with the opposite sex. Sterling’s job had even alienated her from her home town. Anyone who got close, got hurt and so Sterling stayed alone.

“Put wishes in one hand and shit in the other, and see which one fills up first.”

Only one man had made Sterling feel anything, he was her best friend, her first and the only orgasm she had ever had without using one of her own inventions. Sterling graded all men against him and none stood a chance, going back to her home town would put them on a collision course, but a summer spent at home is just what the doctor ordered.

“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” ~ Emily Bronte

Rorke was simply adorable, he has only ever loved one woman…Sterling, she was his first, she was his best friend and no woman had ever compared. Rorke wasn’t perfect, but he was honest and relatable. Rorke was your typical southern man with an ego the size of Texas, where a man is the provider and he looks after his woman. However, when these two come face to face once again all those old feelings come flooding back and while many years have passed that chemistry hasn’t forgotten.

“My dad said love has to be stubborn. Love makes us drunk. Love makes us stupid. Love makes the world go round.”

A story of second chances, of compromise, of adjustment. It was cute, it was hot, it was hilarious, it was swoony, it was romantic, I cried tears of laughter and tears of sadness but most of all it was full of love. Absolutely loved it, another winner from Prescott Lane.

“You may be the woman on top, but I’m the man holding you up there.”

Excerpt:

I know exactly where I want this kiss to go now. We don’t even have to move from this spot. I can take her right up against the door. My lips hover over hers, her chest rising and falling, my cock hard as a rock and pressed against her stomach. The warmth between her legs calls to me, and I bend my knees, pushing into her. She grinds right back. “Just a kiss,” I whisper, unsure whether I’m telling myself or her. We never just had a kiss. We went from kissing to sex in the same breath. And while I want her naked in my bed, I want her for more than one night this time, more than just this summer. I want that more. I’m not going to make it easy for her to dismiss me, dismiss this as a one-night stand or a summer fling. I’m not going to make it easy for her to leave me. I’m going to make it damn near impossible. Winding my hand in her long brown hair, I lower my head, letting my breath tickle the skin of her neck. Her body trembling, gently I trail kisses up her neck, letting my tongue linger ever so slightly. She tries turning her head down to me, desperate for my lips, but I grip her hair a little tighter, controlling the moment. “Rorke,” she begs breathlessly. I know she’s used to being in control. Hell, the woman is responsible for more orgasms than any man could ever be. Lifting my head to look in her eyes, I say, “I know you’re used to being in control of your pleasure. But that ends right now. When you need an orgasm, I’ll provide it. When you want a kiss, I’m your man. You may be the woman on top, but I’m the man holding you up there.”
