From New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestselling author Corinne Michaels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance novel.
WE OWN TONIGHT is available now!
Book Description:
I’m not a one-night stand kind of woman. I’m especially not the woman who has a few drinks at a concert and ends up in bed with my childhood celebrity crush, Eli Walsh.
However, that’s exactly where I find myself.
What’s a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can. His gorgeous green eyes, rock-hard body, and cocky smile have no place in my world. My life is complicated enough.
Someone forgot to tell him that.
Eli is relentless. Pushing his way into my heart, wearing me down, proving he’s nothing like I assumed, and everything I need. But when my world shatters to pieces, he holds the broken bits together. Unwillingly, I fall desperately in love with him.
He made me think we’d have forever . . . I should’ve listened when he said we could only own tonight.

“The only reality is the one we
make.”
Corinne Michaels, for me, is synonymous for her tear
jerkers, at least she has so far made me cry in every single book she has
written. While We Own Tonight is different from her usual, she still made me
shed tears, so she has kept her 100% record. While this book is a little
lighter, it still packed an emotional punch and tackled some tough subjects all
the while encapsulating a stunning romance. I love books where the hero and
heroine are a little older and We Own Tonight delivers a couple in their late
thirties and early forties, romance crack for me. I simply adored this book.
We’ve all had a crush on a band member when we were in our
teens and it seems it only lays dormant…well it did for our heroine, Heather.
Heather is a divorcee and has had a tough life, but it is a life that she
cherishes and her troubles have only made her stronger. Heather works all the
hours god sends and as a female cop, her work is never easy. When the girls
persuade her to let her hair down for a night, re-living their youth at said
bands concert, those teen feelings come rushing back, especially as said band
member has only got better with age…
“We can’t worry about tomorrow,
we can only own tonight.”
Eli Walsh was forty, still touring and on TV screens every
week in a long running, popular series. Eli was forever the bachelor, never
finding “the one.” He was far from a manwhore, but he did take some perks that
came with being on the road, I mean he wasn’t a monk. At their last tour stop,
in his family home town, eyes meet and with a drunken “I Love You Eli,” Heather
and Eli’s fates were sealed…but it was far from a smooth journey in typical
Corinne Michaels style.
“I’m not asking you to give up
anything, just make room for me.”
For Heather, it was supposed to only be one night, one
extremely memorable night. Heathers life was too complicated for her to even
think of a new relationship and to be honest her heart and head were not on the
same page. I loved Eli’s perseverance though, totally struck by the infatuation
bug he stuck in there, he chipped away at her walls and never gave up. I
believe in love at first sight, an inexplicable connection that you cannot help
but act upon. Eli had never ever felt this way about anyone and he wasn’t
giving up until he explored what is was…would this be his “one in a lifetime?”
We Own Tonight had me hooked from the very first page and
didn’t let up till the very last. Such a beautiful story, not only for the
romance but for the topics it covers with sensitivity and honesty. I adored
this couple, from the very beginning I was championing these two along and if two
people ever deserved a fairy tale ending, it was these two. Incredibly cute,
romantic, sweet and sexy, this one ticked all the boxes and certainly makes you
think about the what if’s. I still haven’t got over George Michael being gay,
my heart was broken. Another fab read from Corinne Michaels.
“I wasn’t living before you. I
was waiting.”
