“Fucking Greyson hard was the way to get rid of Damon. This new Thing craved danger.”

This series is incredibly addictive and as soon as each new instalment drops onto my kindle I’m on it. Greyson and Caden’s story is not easy, but to be honest, I don’t expect anything less from CD Reiss. When this author takes something on, she goes all in, warts and all and in my opinion, this series is CD Reiss at her best. The next book cannot come quick enough.

Broken Edge picks up where On the Edge finished and for those that have read this series piece meal like me, you knew that Greyson was not going to take it sitting down and she doesn’t disappoint. The love that these two have for each other holds no bounds and in all honesty that could be their greatest demise, especially given how this book ends. CD Reiss certainly knows how to keep her readers on the edge and that was definitely how I ended up reading this one.

“My bones were made of iron filings and he was a magnet, drawing my body’s brittleness to the surface.”

For me, the intensity that the previous instalments had wasn’t as prevalent but given the situation that these two now find themselves in maybe that isn’t surprising, however I wanted to feel that when they were actually together. This book is set in similar circumstances to the prequel being that we are back out in the battle ground and that intensity remained.

“…but between us? It’s older. Bigger. My cells are tied to yours…I know you’re still there. Your strength keeps me upright when I think I’ll fall. I can’t shake you or forget you, because you run through my veins.”

There are so many characters I still do not trust, some old and some new and it is this that really had my grey matter whirling a mile a minute trying to read between the lines and look for ulterior motives. CD Reiss really nails this aspect and definitely has you chewing your nails throughout.

Greyson has always been strong willed, head strong and assertive when she needs to be, the bedroom excluded of course, we know she lets her guard down there đŸ˜‰. However, her tenacity in this book and her fearless attitude is what really comes to the fore and the decisions she makes…well, makes for some entertaining reading even if a few more grey hairs have sprouted since. But despite all that, the love that she has for husband is what really shines through.

“I love you, Caden.”
“I know you do. No one would do such stupid shit unless they were in love.”

Surprisingly, Caden is a little quiet in this book, but considering what happens, he won’t be for long. I can’t even anticipate which way book four is going to go. I assume nothing when it comes to this author. I just cannot wait and hope upon hope that somehow, these two, can find their well-deserved happily ever after.

About the Author:

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
