Ms Zanetti can certainly write brilliant stories and this
series is excellent. This book has everything that you would want in a book. It
has non-stop action, sizzling love making and characters that jump from the
page.
Adam Dunne, an enforcer for the Coven 9 is one ripped
individual with dark hair and glittering green eyes and is one real badass. Victoria
(Tori) has trust issues leading back to her malevolent father who is truly evil.
Now working for the DEA as a C.I. she has been kidnapped by male witches and
taken to Ireland without knowing why.
Tori is a human but she has one oddity that she likes to
keep to herself, it involves any type of machinery and her effect on it which
tends to make her life frustrating at best. Now though she has a more pressing
matter, how to escape these kidnappers, and then the answer came with Adam
Dunne showing up.
She had met Adam before through her sister Lexi as she was
going out with Adams brother Kellach. Tori had found out that Adam was a
brilliant strategist and brainiac but he always seemed to be annoyed with
everything, but he was here and he managed to get her away.
Tori was not happy at him or all witches for their treatment
of her and she let him know it. Thinking him a jerk at the way he was treating
her, Tori planned on getting away from him as soon as possible and get herself
back to the States.
The story continues with plenty of action being thrown at
these two but also a very intense attraction and awareness was also forming
between them all the while this was going on. At last they managed to get to
safety for a while and Tori being Tori had to bait Adam but Tori got more than
she bargained for when she brushed her lips against his. Adam kissed her back
much more forcibly.
“Liquid heat poured from him to
her, swirling and catching her on fire.”
This story is a real roller coaster ride not letting up on
the pace and it also brought in previous characters coming to help Adam and
Tori to fight the good fight. But that attraction between Adam and Tori is also
rising, getting hotter and hotter and Tori couldn't help taunting Adam again…
“The way he worked her body, her
mind, stripped her bare. She should be terrified. Angry. Even embarrassed. But
she wasn't. She felt feminine and powerful...”
This is one really great, exciting read from beginning to
end. With sizzling sex scenes and plenty of hot action in and out of bed. You
have done it again Rebecca Zanetti this has got to be up there with your best
writing yet. Brilliant.
